In Ohio, is it cheaper to build a stick-built home or buy a modular home? I have found the perfect modular home and had plans of putting it on permanent foundation, getting the option of full drywall, and have brick foundation as opposed to block. All of which fool you into thinking the home was built on-site. However, due to problems with finding land without deed restrictions, etc., I may be forced to look into other options. To get the exact flooplan I want, I would rather stick-build. But is this the most cost-effective option? Are there ways to save money in stick-building as opposed to modular. There is a 3 inch diamater pipe about 1 foot long sticking out of the cement where the toilet is to go. 1. I'm finding lots that (per the Multiple Listing Service) claims as little as 700 sq feet (had to be a typo!) to over an acre lots. if i purchase a new build home that is not covered by NHBC or similar? does the developer still have an OBLIGATION to rectify problems that might arise i purchased the house under 2 years ago, it was built to building control regulations and is certified by architects certificates. What I want to know is...what are the developers legal obligations regarding sorting out non structural faults. Are they OBLIGED to sort out any snags/ problems that have arisen, even if I do not have NHBC or similar cover.?

Lic Contr/Builder How much should we pay for a custom shower in our new-build home? (Have pic, will email)... I have a drawing in my email from the builder. I can email it to you, which would be much easier than describing it. I designed the shower myself. What is a good rural area in Florida or Georgia to buy land and build a home? I'm a 30 year old black woman. Its just my husband and I. We want to live in either Florida or Georgia. Our goal is to buy 5-10 acres of land and build a house. Maybe, even buy the acres with a house already built on the land. And, just renovate the house to our liking. But, I know we would be taking a chance in living in a racist area. I mean the KKK living in the same town or next town over. I was stationed in Virginia. And have also lived North Carolina. I did enjoy living in the south. And, I know certain areas are still segregated. I was born and raised in Detroit. My husband was born in Chicago and raised in Memphis, TN. Also, I was stationed in Great Lakes, Illinois. Now, we lived in Sacramento, Ca. And, I can say racism is everywhere. But, I enjoyed living in the southern states the most. I really enjoyed the southern hospitality. I'm just worried that we'll end up in a place that won't be accept us.
