Can you make a vacation home apartment building in the sims 2?

i have apartment life and bon voyage expansion packs for the sims 2, and i want to make a condo building, but i don't know if that would just make an apartment building to live in all the time or you can actually have a building with other people in it that you own, if you know what i mean. like if you own a condo at the beach, but there are other people in the condo building. not like a hotel... haha, i have the sims 3, but i like the sims 2 expansion packs.

1. No that's not possible. You should get The Sims 3 it's way better.
2. Hi, I am not sure if this is possible but here is one way that you could try. Build your condo and make sure you have the apartment doors (You know the ones with the welcome mats) so that it knows which room is separate. Then type ctrl shift C to open up the cheat box. Type in changelotzoning apartmentbase and press enter. This cheat turns normal buildings into apartments. HOWEVER. Since you are trying to make a vacation home it may not work. You might not be able to move into in or move out again. This is just a suggestion that I would try first. I'm sorry if this does not work, I do not know any other way it would be possible.
