How do I mail packages from my home?

i recently found out that i can mail packages from my house, since i live kind of far from a post office. unfortunately, they didn't explain how to do it. so someone please explain simple steps on how to mail packages from my home!

1. Go to the post office site, or fedex site. You can schedule a pick-up online, and they will show up :)
2. http://www.ups.com You can request a UPS delivery man to come to your house & pick up the parcel & pay with a credit card.
3. Contact your post office as the real question is how do you calculate postage. Mailing is probably done just like your outgoing mail.
